Fake Cow

2-3 generations back, there is a history of farming in my family, even more recent in my wifes family. I have never been a farmer. I have never milked a cow. At age 5, I was bucked off a horse, and did'nt return to the saddle for 35-40 years. Even then, I was a liitle frightened, and had to be led along like a toddler.

But, I think I could have been a man of the fields, a man of the animals.

We go by this spread on the way to church every Sunday. In the winter, if you go early enough...the lights inside the barn at one end are lit up, and the lights gently reflect in the snow. I know it's not warm inside such a cavernous building, but it makes you feel warm inside. I wish this web site had smell-o-tron, because this morning it was pretty ripe. Nothing like the smell of manure in the morning.

It makes me wonder what the other cows think of the tank-cow. Did they try to moo to her for years, then finally quit trying? Are they jealous of her because she gets to be out of the pen? How does she stay so plump when she never seems to eat? What is that liquid that they are injecting into her?

I think the only time I would have trouble would be taking them to market after raising them from calf-hood. That being said..."pass me the taters", and " I like my steak cooked medium."
