on my way home.....

After one of the most emotional and lonely journeys i eventually was greeted by the familiar sight of the island of Hoy. It's huge shoulders dominate Orkney's horizon (already blipped here) But this view is one only seen from sea - the tallest sea cliffs in britain to be exact at 1,150 ft high. It's a majestic and terrifying gateway to pass through to get to the lush green hills of Orkney. I always know i'm home.
