Scrawny Old Man

Fading flower

Sums up my level of inspiration today - at least before this evening's service at our local episcopal church.

Man born of woman
is of few days and full of trouble.
He springs up like a flower and withers away;
like a fleeting shadow, he does not endure.
(Job 14:1)

But when the flower dies, the fruit begins to grow:
Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
(John 12:24)
