Seaweed at Te Kopahau

I love Te Kopahau. Unfortunately a lot of other people do too, especially on a holiday. "Hey, look at that weirdo taking photos of seaweed!"

Actually, I was looking pretty weird. I was lying in the sand, elbows dug in, taking shots. I wanted to take shots of the seaweed from the perspective of seaweed, not from the perspective of a human looking down at seaweed.

I included the people partly because I wanted to emphasize the seaweed perspective. Partly because when I take nature and landscape shots I sometimes include humans - but they're often tiny, almost incidental. In the grand scheme of things we're not the centre, even though we like to think we are.
