Up, up and away - #Aberdeen City Council in action

Wednesday, at a foggy Bridge of Don Park & Ride site in Aberdeen we see more great planning by Aberdeen City Council - an act which surely must have been masterminded by The Glorious Leader John Stewart himself. Having spent a reported £157,000 putting up barriers to stop travellers going into the P&R site (a situation which only started to happen after the council had axed the job of the guy who was based on site and looked after the Park & Ride facility) ... then not putting the barriers in place when the workers doing the job went on holiday ... travellers moved in.

The barriers were then closed (out of spite?) leaving two caravans stranded.

Mere mortals like you and me might think why not

1. tow them out before putting the barriers in place? or

2. if The Glorious Leader and his agents really are so petty that they want to score a point by locking them in why not "open the barrier (for they have a lock and they are the council's) and tow them out" ... but oh no, no no The Glorious Leader and his entourage operate on a different level from us ... they think outside the box that's why they can blissfully ignore public opinion on issues like Union Terrace Gardens and the planned Civic Deer Slaughter, so ...

... don't open the gates. Send an old council Land Rover to tow the 2 caravans to the gates, then send a truck with a crane on it, put some straps round the vans and lift them out one by one, effectively destroying them in the process!

Genius innit?

Smile, you're in Aberdeen :-)
