Crummock Water

We set off to see if the Rannerdale bluebells were out yet...one or two were, but it will be another week or ten days before they are at their best!

We walked up the Rannerdale valley towards Buttermere, then back along the top of Rannerdale Knots.

This shot is towards the end of the two and a half hour walk, looking down on Crummock Water. There are three 'lakes' in a row in this valley...Buttermere, Crummock Water and Loweswater. ( Actually, Pub Quiz blippers will know that there is only one true lake in The Lake District! Bassenthwaite Lake )

All three goat kids are doing fine, and Chloe says 'hi'.
