Great day
Great day
It's a great day and the sun is shining
Sun's gonna shine on everyone.
Words from a song written by Katherine Zeserson that the choir learned last night from our second guest musical director. Seems absolutely perfect for the glorious weather we're having right now.
So why has today been a great day for me?
1) passed on details of a job that may be of interest to a friend of a friend, and they seem excited about that.
2) found some paperwork that I've been fretting about for the past week.
3) walked 'the long way' along the river Wensum with Roland to the railway station to buy him a rail ticket for an interview he has coming up.
4) saw some amazing fungi and other stuff on our walk, including the following bizarre item:
This is the last remaining swan pit in England: The Great Hospital Norwich. 12 cygnet swans raised here, on the River Wensum
It was not an attractive sight/site so decided not to capture it for posterity.
The gent in this photo was totally immersed in watching cricket practice in the grounds of the Norwich School, next door to the Cathedral. He was very well organised, with his packed lunch, cold drink and overcoat - I guess just in case it turned chilly - and I hope he was having a great day too.
