Grasping
the nettle, I decided to fit my extension tubes attached to a very old Asahi 50mm primary lens. Got down on my knees - shame I was wearing shorts at the time, but grabbed this quite reasonable shot of some nettle. Made the mistake of trying to position it by hand (am I stupid or what!?), but it stopped it's gentle sway long enough to get this sharp image. Not the little barbs up and down the stem - that's where the sting is - ouch. I know there are some other flowers around the garden somewhere, but nettles is what I did today. Makes it sound a very grand garden, but it's just that it's mainly shrubs (and weeds) and what flowers there are tend to hide under or behind them.
