Pace Egging!

Every Good Friday in our local village of Midgley the local school perform their own version of the ancient traditional Pace Egg Play - a 'Mummers' play. It's a real treat! Pace Egging goes back several hundred years and is thought to be Celtic,Syrian and Egyptian in origin - the theme being triumph over evil of course!

Today was a perfect day for it and I had a lovely time in the sunshine catching up with a lot of friends that I haven't seen all year.
