True Colours

Evening all,


i phoned up the builders today and asked if i could have a skip outside my house, he said "go ahead, i'm not stopping you !"

Ah me, thats been the sum total of my day today though, took advantage of the gorgeous weather to do a bit of long overdue restoration and clearance at the top of the garden, although it turned into more of a salvage job as i must have unearthed about half a ton of scrap metal which very quickly filled up a very large skip!!

Still, getting on top of the garden now, its only took eight years so far so we're moving at a cracking pace.

Unlike this feller that i unearthed under a pile of rotting conifers near the wood store, i have to confess a bit of an ignorance and a bit of abhorrance for these creatures, is it a frog or is it a toad, are all toads technically frogs (i think i read that somewhere)

anyhow i bravely scooped it up and got as close as i dared with my close up lens attachment thingy (which wasn't very close) and snapped away. I would have got a better shot but the little so and so got bored and legged it!!
