Albert's Animals

Today offered a multitude of possible blips. We visited Paris's zoo in the afternoon, and reassembled in the same apartment as two evenings ago for a pot-luck supper--marvelous food and even more people to talk with.

But this won out: It's my cousin Albert, Rosy's father, and a very favorite relative, showing a page of his animal sketches at the zoo (he did many) to his granddaughter Willa (she's also in the blip linked to above). A candid and very personal shot.

The zoo is the Menagerie at the Jardin des Plantes in Paris. A close second for this blip was the North China Leopard, at the top of Albert's sketches! (It was the only large cat we saw.)

Tomorrow is the wedding of Rosy and Karthik: The civil ceremony is in the morning at the local Mairie, and the real festivities (Indian style) begin in the afternoon.
