Whirlwind
What a whirlwind of emotions this week has brought me! Yesterday...was definitely awful. Awful, awful night. Good Friday turned out to be thankfully, very good indeed. Of course, today is the day to remember that Jesus loved me (and you...and you, and YOU!) so much that he willingly chose to die for me. That in and of itself is enough to sustain a very good Friday. However, it was also another stunningly beautiful day! So, after classes got out a friend and I ventured up to the top of Eagle Bluff nearby (where this blip was taken). It was a nice hike, and it was great to try out my new hiking boots :)
Today also brought me some news. A rejection from a grad school I applied to in Virginia...which means that whether I'm in Washington or Oregon, I will be on the WEST COAST! AHH! Craziness. So, this ALSO means that I get to do a road trip at the end of the summer :D My sister and I are going to start planning ASAP. There's so much we haven't seen so I'm excited! I actually got to chat with the advisor I would have in Washington and she was wonderful. I think I would really enjoy working with her.
On another front, I got to see the naked green people riding their bikes through the UMaine campus today! Every single year I've missed them! Okay, so today is also Earth Day and for those of you unfamiliar with UMaine tradition, every Earth Day a group of people get together and ride around the campus painted green and naked. I just feel that witnessing this is a rite of passage. What's hilarious is that I recognized a good deal of them :P
Congrats if you read all of this! You are dedicated, my friend :)
