Bonobo

It's not often I go to a gig and there's a saxophone solo, but then it's also not often I go to a gig two nights in a row. Bonobo at the Picture house was surprisingly busy and with surprisingly young people, not something I'd expected but good to see real musician's getting such a fantastic reception.

Totally forgot it was Good Friday and there were fewer buses than normal so was a little late to work but then there was hardly anybody in today, most people having opted to take the day off. So it was quite a pleasant day, rounded off with a few pints in the company of the Guvnor and the Redeemer before the gig.

Afterwards we had a beer in the Traverse Bar (West's Munich Red, very nice) and sat at a table, by which there was an art postcard by none other than Stewart Bremener as part of their Rock Trust Postcard Auction (or something like that). How very coincidental to randomly pick a table next the one bit of wall with art by someone I vaguely know in amongst the hundreds on display. Possibly synchronistic, it made me want to bid...

And still it's foggy.
