Meanderings Through Life

Binding Ivy

Today was a remarkable weather day. It started with the unseasonable warmth continuing. By the time with reached our destination at Rivelin Valley, Sheffield, there were a few clouds. The clouds were noticeable because it was a couple of weeks since I'd last really seen any!
And then the first rumble of thunder came.
And then the second.
At the third, I headed of to the public loos with my daughter. Handy shelter as well as useful. Though we ended up in the cafe when I realised the weather would be too bad.
The first lot of hail was good. The one at the back of the storm was amazing!
I love a good storm, but I've never seen hail like it. I took some photos, but they were mostly from behind cafe windows and for my own keepsakes. Not good enough for here.
So I've chosen a b/w image of ivy entwining a riverside tree from earlier in the day. Because I like it :)
