Holy Smoke
I like this view of the Barclay-Viewforth church as seen from Gillespie Crescent showing a chimney with patterned slate roof.
The church is category A-listed by Historic Scotland, and the spire, at 250 feet (76 m) high, as one of the tallest church spires in Edinburgh is a landmark in the city skyline.
This is an preemptive blip, taken in pouring rain, before I took the camera in to be dusted.
It transpires that since photographing the demolition of walls at B&S's house earlier this year the dust particles have worked their way inside the camera and now show up on photos (like the sunset yesterday).
I should get it back next week but blipping will be more difficult until then.
