Making a Splash

We have had three warm nor'westery days in a row. This means heavy rain in the mountains. This afternoon I went to the Waimakariri river to see if it is flooded, but it was not up much and it was only a little milky.

The shadows of trees on the river are so much longer now than they were in the summer.
