Millennium Sights
Took an early morning sunshine stroll down Newcastle's quayside for today's blip. It was my intention to capture a shot of the Millennium Blinking Eye bridge with perhaps the Baltic in the background but ended up taking around 200 shots and this was my favourite view taken from on the Millennium itself. Probably best viewed in large format.
You can clearly see four bridges in this shot but there are infact 6 as two are hidden. I was standing on the 7th bridge to take the shot. You can see on the right the Quayside Sunday market which i didn't know still existed until I came down today, as it's been about 15 years since i was on the quay at this time of the morning on a Sunday and was probably with my parents last time.
I didn't realise they do river cruises for the tourists so I think we will come back another weekend without our baby and take a trip up the River Tyne and get some decent shots of the Millennium Bridge opening up.
Some more shots captured today on my Blipfolio
As most of you will know I only got into this photography malarky about 3 weeks ago but i'm loving it and seeing improvements every day.
It's a new hobby that the hubby and I can enjoy and learn together whilst taking our baby out for a walk, getting some exercise and fresh air and exploring places locally but now through fresh eyes. I also get to view other people's fantastic works of art and have a bit of banter whilst i'm at it.
Win Win if you ask me.
