FLIGHT OF THE SPOONBILLS

BOY! was it different in the Weather Department today - about half the temperature of yesterday which was 26o - raining and miserable. its usually like that on ANZAC day.

This is a celebratory day in remembrance of New Zealand and Australian forces fighting alongside each other in Gallipoli - Turkey in the 1st world war. This year was the 95th anniversary year. 750 New Zealanders were killed as they reached the summit of Chanuk Bair.

It was pretty tough around the traps today - but Managed to see a group of about 35 spoonies fly from their roost - but too far away for a pic. These two stragglers helped the Blipless day.
