Vrolijk Pasen!

Happy Easter! A close-up of an Easter Swiss Vlaai (tart) which also doubled up as my bf's birthday cake as it was his big 3-0 today! Family members visited for the obligatory 'circle party'. Yummy Vlaai, kaas (cheese) & leverworst (liver sausage) eaten. Staples of any Dutch get-together!

The plans for the evening were a trip to the cinema, a small quiet meal & a couple of beers, which we unfortunately had to cancel. Long story involving unreliable plumbers & burst water pipes. Certainly a birthday to remember for all the wrong reasons.
