Night Boat to Cairo

Well not so much Cairo, more an imminent return to Skipton within the next day or so.

We had done the Foulridge tunnel today, and it was actually a hell of a distance to the Foulridge tunnel then, a tight turn with some waterways workmen as willing spectators, until the captain gave them short shrift, and then a monster distance travelled on the inbound journey.

Journal Entry:

We went past the moorings at East Marton and ended up in the middle of nowhere for the evening, but it was a brilliant nowhere, looking across fields full of lambs and their mummies, no sound except the call of birds roosting and sheepy lullabies, a beautiful setting sun, a lonely bench that we borrowed for a game of outdoor cluedo, and then a warm and cosy bedtime.....i think we're getting it!
