Emergency blip!

Drove from Hitchin to the middle of Northumberland today, amid rubbish traffic, roadworks, the aftermath of two crashes and the A1 being shut at Washington (thank goodness for a little local knowledge and a detour through the wonderful sights of Birtley). Arrived at Linden Hall at 2.40, checked in, met Uncle James and went for a swim. Later met with Aunty Vic, William had a sneak preview of the cake and wanted to eat it, and met a few other people before going for a slightly later than intended tea. Suddenly realised no photos had been taken so now you are subjected to the 'after haircut' photo of William. Sorry, in hindsight so many other shots I could have taken around the hotel, but really needed to get the small ones in bed.
