Surviving

Before leaving Arran (just, I was in the last batch of people allowed onto the ferry after a very careful passenger count) this afternoon, I walked my Mum's dog up Catacol Glen and then around behind Catacol Farm. I hadn't done this route since October 17th 2009, when I took another photo of this scene in autumn colours (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jill_bain/4023844956/), but wanted to do it again before the bracken comes up and I couldn't get near it. There was a big storm last autumn which made a big impact on Catacol Burn, and seems to have got a tree here too, the rest are clinging on to the hillside.
