Strong Island Bikers
Today was a long day. It started out with me opting for a nice new yellow T-shirt. We decided to get the bus down to Old Portsmouth for lunch and then to visit the Strong Island Exhibition. Sounds simple doesn't it.
Well we got to the bus stop and saw that a bus was going to be along in about ten mins or so. It came but was busy and had no buggy space for us so we had to wait 20 mins for the next one. When that one arrived we were just about to get on when Toddler announced "I need a poo". She has only recently moved to the big girl pants so we waved that bus off as we set up the portable potty outside a takeaway. Just after she got on her portable throne the owners of the takeaway arrived to go in their shop, they must have been really pleased to see us by their shop door.
Anyway the poo was merely a false alarm and 20 mins later we were on the third bus to the City museum for lunch. Staff shortages meant that lunch was limited and smaller then expected but enough to get us on our way, however toddler did not want to be on her way so we had to pull out all our tricks to get her to the exhibition.
On the way we saw some friends on their way to a local bike ride which moments later we got to see swarm past us which was fun. We then got to the exhibition which was good but the tower was quite damp with stalactites coming from the ceiling.
We headed for home along the seafront where upon all the flies were out and after my new yellow T-shirt, so I charged my way across the common towards the water park flapping my arms about like a nutter covered in non-false alarm poo!
