The photographer James Ravilious took wonderfully sympathetic and contextual images of the landscape and people of the West Country. When asked why he continued to work in black & white long after the ubiquity of colour film in landscape and documentary work, he referred back to an old problem for any artist working in the British countryside: the Problem of Green. This blip taken in Upper Swaledale is a rather weak attempt to tackle that problem head on.
