Asus Eee

A friend of mine bought a nice little sub-laptop, the Asus Eee. It has been a big hit in the techy world because it is very small, relatively cheap, and runs Linux.

This was the first time I had chance to see it 'in the flesh'. It is designed to be a simple system that just does the basics. I has WiFi and Ethernet so it's easy to connect to the internet and it comes with a free office suite (Open Office) pre-installed. Not to mention Skype, a video player, music player, games, and photo organizer.

The screen is a bit small and it's a bit slow, but all in all I think it's a winner.
