Turk's Head

What a lovely day today, sunny and warm in the yard. Even spotted the first swallows arriving, Mr C&D and ds1 saw them too, so it's official, they are here!!

I made this turk's head knot today, commonly used for mats to protect boat decks, but it looks a treat in my front porch.
