Dove Cottage Dreaming

This is one of my favourite places. Dove Cottage at Grasmere in the Lake District. Home of William and Dorothy Wordsworth from 1799 to 1808. I am not a huge fan of Wordsworth's poetry, but there is something about the simplicity and tranquility of their domestic life which lingers on in the place today and intrigues me. I'd love to be there right now but life keeps me at home this week. This is a painting we bought to sustain us between visits. We don't own any other original work but we just had to stretch to this.
