Reminder

A PSNI officer directs drivers the "wrong way" out of the Victoria Sq parking garage while a UTV cameraman films the scene during a bomb alert outside Musgrave St PSNI station in Belfast this afternoon.
This was a common enough scene in Belfast pre-1994 but has recently become more frequent. This was the third bomb alert in Victoria Street today alone and according to Twitter pals who live nearby, it is still going on as of 19:40.
After lunch with "she who must be obeyed", I decided to drive up to Belfast to see if I could get a shot or two for my Blip. The Balloon Dude was one, and this Blip was the other.
I had an altercation with an over-zealous security guard in town, also, who challenged me on carrying my camera (on my shoulder) through Queen's Arcade which resulted in me being questioned by two PSNI officers later in Waterstones! He claimed I may have been "casing the joint" and reported my suspicious activity (drinking coffee in the Caffe Nero opposite the arcade with my camera on the table). Bloody jobsworth!
It reminded me of the joke told to me recently that the Taleban were complaining as they were being treated worse than photographers :/
