Gormley Sunset 26 April 2011

Sunset is now in a decent position for a shot at this down at Ocean Terminal. In a month or so it'll be almost in a direct line with the pier but this will do for now! Unusually cold down there, not quite what I expected, thankfully the pikeys... erm... shows in front of Ocean Terminal were deserted so no shell suits wandering around tonight.

Very pleased with this, and even more pleased to be getting some intense colour into these sunset shots with the long exposures. Sun was still up off to the left of this shot when I took this, 3 minute exposure with the Sigma 10-20mm lens, Heliopan ND3.0 10 stopper, Hitech 0.9 soft grad and a cheap sunset filter off ebay!

Also spotted a possible new location for tomorrow night on the way back home, so hoping for another of those sunsets tomorrow night as well!
