Culinary disaster

..not that it didn't rise alright and it looks ok but I messed around with the recipe and doesn't taste as good as I'd hoped
About 25 years ago i got a recipe from sis (MrsUnremarkable ) for sticky rhubarb cake. It was scrummy. I have recently got a good recipe for raspberry and almond cake again from MrsU and equally tasty.
I wanted to make the rhubarb cakebut couldn't find the recipe and with MrsU swanning about on here latest holiday i did some improvising. The resulting rhubarb and almond cake is a bit nondescript and got the thumbs down from hubby
