Armed and Dangerous

We let the chickens out to free range for the first time this evening.

They loved it - except when Next Door's cat Monty decided to have a go! Lobbing a plastic purple octopus in his general direction didn't do a lot, nor did Bella standing guard with a space hopper.

Luckily I had to go to Asda tonight anyway but this was the best I could find. I am not convinced it will be man enough for the task but I think it will be better than the plastic purple octopus and the space hopper...
