From prison cell to boudoir*
The good stuff
*I've never been in prison!
For over a year my bedroom resembled a prison cell. It had one single bed and a small bedside table. That was it. It was a truly horrible room and the bed was so uncomfortable sometimes I would resort to sleeping on the sofa or the floor. Firstly after about 9 months I got some decent curtains rather than well I'm not sure how to describe what was there before. Then after waking up one morning with an incredible backache I went to school fuming (When asked if there was anything I wanted/needed at the end of my first school, I?d asked for a new one but I never received it ). I offered to buy my own but they said no we will take care of it. A few weeks later they said they had a bed. I put on my detective hat and went to see the bed before they brought it here, it was a child's bed. I am short but it was barely as long as me. So my friend had a quiet word with the Headmaster and the next day I was sent off to choose a bed.
From the day it arrived I started making this room more homely, I got a rug, some pictures, nice bedding (thanks Mum!) etc. Now I LOVE my bedroom, sometimes too much!
Today I had a lie in, a long long lazy one. It was fantastic, Spent the morning watching TV on my computer.
Now I'm in bed with fresh sheets another great thing.
Back to school tomorrow which I'm excited about. It's the school leavers' final week so it will be very busy. I get to see my lovely students and workmates and I can get on with planning my intensive course for next week.
