happy today

Today I saw this man happy. He was quickest in pro qualifying, and he was also going rounds in his Stocker.

It was a fun day that ended with me and my fella (not shown) standing trackside and watching the sportsman racing under the lights. That was one of those moments. I wish I had a photo of the cars in the lanes, could have captured the feel of the cool night air and the smell of his cigar on the wind, the way the tires spin as they burn out from the water box. I wish I could relive it, see it, feel it all over again and again.

Houston next week. Maybe we will try again? :)
