Nightless night in Finnish Lappland

On a hike in the Pulmanki region my friend made me a practical joke. When we were going to sleep he did set his phone to ring in the morning. I asked him the time and he answered: "early". I accepted that. When the phone rang I woke up and started to pack my backpack, cook the morning porridge and coffee. Suddenly I was wondering why I was so awfully tired. I watched my clock and it was 2.30 am. Night was so light that I didn´t notice the difference between night and day. After the first reaction I had to admit that I was not alert enough. I should have asked the precise time. But after all, look what the scenery was like on that morning`s hike.
