Rattle of a Simple Bee
It's been an excellent day, I've finally taken the plunge (& spent the money, which has all gone now!) on an updated camera - for 6 years now I've had the Canon 300D - now I have the Canon 550D - a one up model as there is a 500D which is exactly like the 300D but a later version - it all gets so dreadfully confusing! Anyhow, home by 5:30pm, opened the camera box, put it altogether & ran out to get my first ever blip shot with the new gear - light had somewhat gone, overcast, plus windy - typical! Never mind, will explore better tomorrow! (I'll never get any work done at this rate!)
This is yellow rattle & yes, this is a bee - the orchard is covered in yellow rattle (which keeps the grass down & makes room for wildflowers) the rattle is beginning to flower, soon it will be awash with yellow & hopefully many bees!
The title comes from the film 'Rattle of a Simple Man' just in case anyone was wondering! :)
