Pistachios

Off to the grocery store today. I find that I carry my camera with me everywhere now. The most common things seem to take on such interesting shapes and textures when looking at them through a lens. Like ... pistachios. I can only imagine the strange looks I got while taking pictures of a bin full of pistachios. Fortunately, I wasn't paying attention to anyone else.

This photo isn't quite what I'd like. My hope with this journal is to serve as a diary of sorts but also to improve my photography skills. Lighting, focus, many techniques I hope to explore. Looking through the other journals is inspiring ... and daunting. So much to learn.
