I'm having a short break in Kirkcudbright a wee town in the south west of Scotland.
The weather has been terrific and the blossom is in full bloom and I wish I could stay longer.
Some of you may be interested that the locals still use many Auld Scots phrases and words in their everyday speech eg. "turn that racket doon", those troosers are mince", and of course the poetic "hiv ye put on weight or did you swallow a compressor?.

The Auld sayings are great.
