Feeling Blue ? Not me !

Why on earth do we describe people who are a bit depressed as "Feeling Blue".
How could anyone look at all this blue and not feel a little happier. I stared at it for about half an hour before getting on with what I was doing. I say we take back the colour Blue for the happy people and leave the sad ones with Grey.
