Chasing the sun

My dad and I literally sped to Cramond to get this shot of the sun setting. I only realised how beautiful the sky looked 15 minutes before, so we drove around looking for a place where I could actually get a decent shot. Unfortunately, things (hills, buildings etc) kept getting in the way so it became a full-on speed chase to get down to the shore as soon as possible.

Had there been any light left by the time I was done taking pictures of the sky, I would have realised how far the tide was out and how the shapes it had left behind on the sand were just gorgeous. Aim for tomorrow is to actually plan ahead and be ready for the sunset, rather than desperately chasing it.

Yesterday's bad mood continued into today but this blip has more than made up for it. I'm currently in the process of convincing my parents to rent me a little cottage somewhere up north for a week after the exams so I can sort everything out in my head.. they'll come round to the idea eventually.

Very excited for the wedding tomorrow.. slightly more excited for my lie-in though.
