Necropolis

So week 2 of the photography course involved a trip up to the Necropolis. It is a fascinating location with some stunning stones. Due to their age you really can see the difference in how people memorialised their dead over time.

The actual assignment was to look at over exposing to create silhouette images. I got a few good but this is actually one of my favourites due to the level of detail that is still shown in some areas of the statue while other areas have gradually been warn away by the elements. The juxtoposition is truely marvellous
