swallow or wasp

dave has been decorating our bedroom at long last, think he started 10years ago and I am excited it looks like we might get it done, he was moving the sky ariel into our bedroom for a tv in our room, not had one before. He went into the eaves and came down all excited saying he had found a swallows nest and it was pretty intricate and to take the photo.
remembering last year the house was full of wasps all the time it occured to me that it might be a wasp nest, a few wasps were about so I am assuming it is a wasp nest.
looks amazing will be a shame to destroy it or whatever will have to happen.
will have to see.
