Our very own wedding
Louise and Collette getting into the spirit of the day, and making their own little protest along the way.
Only heterosexual couples can get married in the UK, which might be considered as discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation. Hope is on the way, and the previous government passed a law enabling civil registrations to take place on religious premises, but the current government still haven't put the law into effect. We may yet see gay and lesbian couples enjoying the same rights as straights.
For the fashion minded, Louise on the right is wearing the dress her mother wore in 1975 (we still get it out for dressing-up fun) whilst Collette on the left is wearing a creation of that same Ma B (artist, dog-lover), lovingly crafted for the occasion.
