Tulips
Our tulips are finally beginning to bloom after a cold, wet "Spring" here in Seattle. I wanted to isolate the red bloom and frame it with the yellow blossoms so I used a Canon 400mm lens with a 36mm extension tube. This allowed me decrease the camera-to-subject distance, filling the frame and still being able to focus at a relatively short distance.
Here's a Photosynth of last week's Western Trillium.
