Weekend Pursuits

We took a sightseeing drive to Devonport today - the other side of the harbour from the Auckland CBD. Went for a walk along the wharf at the ferry terminal and found weekend fishermen lining the edge. What a view, to stand there fishing (and yes there had been some catches) and looking across at the biggest city in NZ just a stone's throw away.

The harbour was also covered in yachts of all sizes and a paddle boat. Certainly plenty to offer the locals for weekend activity.

The oval roof to the far left of this photo is the Vector Arena, and that is where kiwilizzie and I will be tonight, listening to Tim Finn and Bob Dylan.
