Fynbos

I was asked some weeks ago to pop in more pics of our indigenous flora.

This is my favourite amongst some 1500 in the genus fynbos (pronounced fanebos with a very short "o"). I'm told that this from the family bruniaceae and for the first time, I saw an adjacent bush was bursting into flower while I was shooting these pics. Must be the effect of the good rains last winter.
