Traaaactorrrrrrr!

It's tractoring time, Most of our top field is going to be turned into paddock/grassy field again after a few years of it being intensively cultivated for veg. It isn't really up to it anyway - in places there's only about 6" of sandy soil before you hit the earth's solid rock mantle.

After spraying off all/most the weeds it has been baked hard in this very unusual sunny hot dry weather so it had to be worked with the cultivator then the rotorvator (on a borrowed tractor as our classic T20 tractor was too small for this hard job). Turned out Countrywide had run out of the medium term ley mix I wanted, so the harrowing and sowing will have to wait.
