It's a grand old team to play for, it's a grand ol
And if, you know, yer history.....
Massive game for the Dark Blues today, which saw my Dad and I leaping around on our seats at as Colin McMenamin got his head to a cracking Paul Dixon cross, which saw us take the 3 points with the last kick (well, header) of the ball.
We dominated the first half, never really allowing the Saints to get a look in. Mickael Antoine-Curier was nipping all about the park and getting the Dundee fans (who were already pretty fired up) to start chanting everytime he came close to the south stand. He put us ahead in the 40th minute after he cooly turned in the 6 yard box to drill the ball into the corner, despite being surrounded by defenders.
St Johnston came out in the 2nd half as the better team, and things seemed to be getting worse as Scott Robertson got taken off on a stretcher (luckily its only a pulled hamstring). Lyle replaced him but wasnt really that effective, allowing the saints to equalise with that new boy they have on loan. McMenamin put us back into the lead but Jackson made it 2-2, and it looked like the game would end in a draw. Until McMenamin popped up that is.
The ground went a tad mental with fans leaping, hugging and jumping all over the place. Hamilton drawing takes us 2 points behind them, with us having to play them twice before the season ends in 10 games time.
COME ON DUNDEE!
Edit: Shoot em up is rather awesome.
