La Lomagne

From time to time the flight path from Toulouse to London overflies Beaumont de Lomagne and to the east of Lavit de Lomagne, the nearest 'town' to Montgaillard. This is the one time the plane flew far enough west for me to be able to get a shot that included Montgaillard. Unless you know where it is, of course, it is difficult to make it out but I know the geography so I know I am looking at faint blue of le lac de Lavit (bottom middle) and le lac de Montgaillard (bottom left), and in between them, like the point of a shallow triangle is the white finger of le chateau d'eau de Montgaillard. The village is the faint group of buildings to the left of that, probably the church and the Sue and Will's house. Our home isn't visible (but I know it's opposite that group of faint buildings with the church) but I can la vallee du Camezon and the slope opposite where the fruit trees that we look out on from the deck are, being November the distinctive protective covers are not there.

I can also make out where Ian and Liz's house is and probably Las Molieres, Fidelma's house in Balignac, too.

The view is pretty much west and over the hill on the horizon is the next departement, Gers.

Happy memories!
