Tempora mutantur ...

Linum bienne

This lovely blue flower is to bee seen everywhere in the Alpilles now.

It is also known as Pale Flax and obviously loves dry and sunny calcareous places! It is considered as a possible wild forebear of the cultivated Common Flax - whatever, I just love its wonderful shade of blue. Such a pity the flowers only last for a day.
