Dawn Chorus - Musical May

A new month, and the beginnings of a new challenge.

Yes I rounded up the ROY G BIVers and coerced them into another challenge.

I let them get their breaths back after the rainbow challenge, and decided to throw the whole month of May over to them.

The challenge is simple. As often as you like, a musically themed blip during the next 31 days. It doesn't have to be daily. You can interpret the theme however you like.

Some obvious examples blips inspired by lyrics, song titles, album titles. Blips that are musical instruments, whatever you want to do. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

As for this blip. Me and Dawn were up for the .. well, Dawn Chorus this morning, we arrived at Newport Wetlands at 6am. Natures own orchestra was in full swing when we got there. There were Whitethroats, Chiffchaffs, Reed Warblers, Cetti Warblers all in fine voice. Blackbirds, the virtuosos of the bird world, were singing from the tree tops. It was quite breathtakingly beautiful, and well worth the pain of getting up at ten to five this morning!

What we had no idea of at the time, was that today is International Dawn Chorus Day. What a day to kick off a month long musical challenge!

On top of the bird song .. it was definitely a day to go .. ahhh!
